Explanation for Website Name: Fizik is the Malay word for 'Physics' and Q stands for 'quantum' for short. 

Description & Objective: This is a UPM bilingual website (Malay and English) that houses materials related to the subject of theoretical physics in general and quantum physics in particular. While there are many (international) websites can be found on these subjects, Qfizik (to the best of the webmaster's knowledge) is the earliest Malaysian website dedicated to quantum physics and theoretical physics. Its basic aim is simply to provide educational information on these topics particularly to the Malaysian audience, but it hopes to go beyond so as to serve as a local central point of academic discussions for our currently small pool of interested individuals.

The  contents of this website can be divided into five broad categories:-

bulletInfo - This covers general information about the site, its members and activities, general/popular articles and commentaries, and other relevant information.
bulletNews - This section gives news on any development related to physics all around the world. Local news will be given in English while foreign news will be given in Malay.
bulletLectures - This section contains lectures, tutorials, notes and references for theoretical physics courses taught at UPM Physics Department.
bulletResearch - The pages here contain articles, reviews, commentaries, and references aimed at the group's research interest.
bulletGalleries - This section carries pictures of past events by Theoretical Physics Subgroup, Dept of Physics and related affiliations in Institutes and elsewhere.
bulletResources - This contain materials and links deemed useful to the group.
